The Riverfront Heritage Trail is a fully accessible 15-mile pathway designed for both cyclists and pedestrians. Starting at the riverfront, it meanders through some of the oldest and most historic sections of bi-state Kansas City. As the first trail of its kind in Downtown Kansas City, it connects various communities, parks, and exciting destinations, showcasing unique new venues and striking public artworks along the way. Historical markers placed along the Trail provide a journey through the early history of the region.

The dynamic neighborhood of the Power & Light District is located in the heart of Downtown. The District spans eight and a half blocks of exciting restaurants, entertainment, nightlife, shopping and amenities. It is easily accessible from all major highways and attracts millions of visitors each year.

The Crossroads District of Kansas City offers an additional eclectic enclave of boutique shops, one-of-a-kind restaurants, creative businesses, studios and art galleries.  And don’t miss First Fridays — the First Friday of every month — when thousands of residents and visitors fill the Crossroads Arts District as arts organizations, galleries, studios, and a wide variety of businesses in the district feature local, regional, national, and international artists.
